Belgrade Training in Systems-Psychodynamic Organisational Consulting – SPOC Training
Applying group analysis to understanding and consultancy work with institutions and organisations requires specialised education. Combining this knowledge with other psychoanalytic fields has proven essential for an in-depth approach to consultancy work, in order to achieve a lasting transformative effect.
The training follows a tripartite model, like other Koinonia-Art training courses. It consists of theoretical seminars, experiential work in small group-analytic groups, and supervision. The training also includes direct work on consultancy cases in front of the trainees, as well as practice of numerous SPOC methods. The foundation of the training is the four-day educational Koinonia-Art block workshops.
A minimum of 10 blocks must be attended in order to obtain the foundation Level A title of SPOC consultant, after which it is possible to continue the education toward the higher Levels B and C.
This training belongs to the group of organisational consulting trainings that combine learning about the psychodynamics of systems, individuals, groups and teams, the ‘organisation as a whole’ and the network in the complexity of their interrelations, while taking into account the influence of a changing context (local/regional/global). The emphasis is on those aspects of human relations that are less visible (beneath the surface/‘unconscious’), on finding ways to make them more accessible, understandable and less destructive, and, where possible, to transform them into additional creative strengths of organisations, leaders and teams. Interested persons of various professions may apply.
This professional field goes by various names, the most common being: psychoanalysis of organisations, systems psychoanalysis, systems psychodynamics, socio-analysis, psycho-socio-analysis.
Koinonia Block Events
Koinonia Block is a unique four-day educational event (Thursday to Sunday, 9:00 to 17:00, non-residential), designed in accordance with the fundamental conceptual framework of the School for Integrative Group Analysis.
The encounter between several related educational fields of psychoanalysis is facilitated through a specific rhythm of theoretical, experiential and supervisory sessions. An important element is the integration of creative techniques specific to the Koinonia SPOC field, through which the entire Block is experienced as a temporary learning organisation and community. This community can then be observed freely from different roles, critically examined in a lively way, reflected upon collectively, and influenced to bring about change. These changes are subsequently monitored and may eventually be incorporated into regular practice.
Participation in the Koinonia Block is a compulsory component of all educational programmes, with attendance required at least once a year. It provides an opportunity for encounters between participants at different stages of training, as well as with trainers, supervisors and people occupying other roles within the School and its teams. It also brings together colleagues from other schools in Serbia and abroad with which the School cooperates.
From time to time, the block is opened for one or two days to allow colleagues from other psychotherapy schools to register for a specific themed workshop. Some of these events are international.
